Machining 2024-2025
Various parts I manufactured during the 2024-2025 school year
Overview
This is a log of the parts I made mainly for Cornell Rocketry over the 2024-2025 school year. I started the year with no experience CNC machining and successfully completed 10+ parts mostly on my school’s Haas vertical mills with a few more on other assorted machines.

BliMS Bulkhead
This would probably be a smaller project for me now but it was my first part I made after my CNC training. I had to make 6” soft jaws to hold the part after the first op and the part itself was 3 ops: facing and profiling the bottom, roughing and finishing the features on top, and radial holes for airframe integration on the 4th axis.

Takeaways
I was thrown into the fire of cnc machining this year with about 25 hours and 4 parts under my belt from last year so I went from no to some experience very fast. I learned about how all the tools I used worked, how to use them with

The L2 comes after the L1 and I hope to have my cert by the end of summer 2026.
